On September 17, 2026, a Texas Air National Guard F-16 crashed near Interlochen State Park, Michigan, during a training mission out of the Air National Guard's Combat Readiness Training Center in Alpena. The pilot ejected safely and was taken to a hospital, conscious and talking with law enforcement within hours.
