Auto pilot Fails in Bad Weather | Airplane Out of CONTROL

During an instrument departure from San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (KSBP), the aircraft experienced an autopilot problem that produced several altitude and route deviations. The crew worked through the issue and ultimately returned to the airport they had departed from. No crash or injury resulted from the event.
